I have been terribly shocked by Frank's death, which took place on Thursday morning, 17 September. He was a dear dear friend and I will miss him greatly. We met ten years ago when he came to talk to me about doing the directing course I was then running at RSAMD. He enrolled, was an inspiring student, and his end-of-year production won an award. During that year I got to know him well and our friendship went on from there.
Charming, brave, fierce in his pursuit of truth - in art as in life - Frank was a terrific writer and a very good man. I will miss him - but so will so many other people. My heart goes out to his wife Marie and their three young children. It is a cruel blow for them; and for all of us who loved him.
